This policy is provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and applies to purchases made from PEDTest Australia.
1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund if a product:
- Has a major fault
- Is not of acceptable quality
- Is unsafe
- Is significantly different from its description
- Does not do what it is reasonably expected to do
You are also entitled to have the product repaired or replaced if the issue is minor and can be resolved within a reasonable time.
Kit results can be affected by a range of contaminants and user errors. Please contact us to discuss your result if you are unsure or unhappy with a result.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
2. Change of Mind Returns
Due to the nature of our products (including testing kits and consumables), we do not accept change-of-mind returns, including for:
- Incorrect purchases
- No longer needing the product
- Ordering the wrong item
- Delays in delivery where the item is still in transit
- Kits used or unused past their 3 month shelf life
This applies unless required otherwise under Australian Consumer Law.
3. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is:
- Faulty
- Damaged in transit
- Incorrect (wrong item supplied)
Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order and provide:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos or evidence where applicable
We will assess the issue and, where required under Australian Consumer Law, offer a refund, replacement, or repair.
4. Testing Kits & Consumable Products
For health, safety, and hygiene reasons:
- Opened, used, or tampered testing kits cannot be returned or refunded, except where they are faulty or do not meet consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.
- Sealed, unused kits may only be eligible for return if they are faulty or incorrectly supplied.
5. Refunds
If a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Processing time is typically 3–10 business days
- Shipping costs are not refunded unless the return is due to a fault or error on our part
6. Return Shipping
- If the return is due to a fault, damage, or incorrect item, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs where required under Australian Consumer Law.
- If return shipping is required, instructions will be provided after your return request is approved.
Please do not send items back without contacting us first.
7. Incorrect Address or Delivery Issues
We are not responsible for:
- Items returned due to incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses provided at checkout
- Delays caused by carriers or customs clearance
Returned items due to address issues may incur additional reshipping fees.
